This year, Evening of Promise will benefit the enhancement of neonatal intensive care parent and family rooms at Aurora West Allis Medical Center.
The parent and family rooms offer families the opportunity to stay overnight with their babies while receiving care in the NICU. It's key to bonding that families can have this experience - something they may have missed due to an unexpected, early birth.
The family rooms also serve a vital educational purpose. With many NICU babies discharged with ongoing medical needs, Aurora West Allis team members are able to teach families how to provide that care within these rooms, which are equipped with medical equipment that's similar to what will be needed at home.
However, these NICU family rooms have been in use since 2002, and are in need of upgrades. With much needed updates, the Aurora West Allis NICU team will be able to provide even better care and education to families, so babies can not only live well – but thrive.
Tickets are $100/person and $1,250 for a table of 10. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are also available.
