On April 25 – International Denim Day – we’ll again recognize and stand with survivors of sexual assault during one of our most inspirational fundraising events: The Fifth Annual Hope Shining Blue at Turner Hall Ballroom.
As has now become tradition, guests will enjoy food stations and music in a casual setting that invites them to wear their jeans and enjoy a high energy, inspirational evening. The event supports Aurora Healing and Advocacy Services which provide trauma-informed care including crisis intervention and long-term healing services for survivors or rape, incest, sexual abuse and sexual violence, as well as pregnant women experiencing domestic abuse.
Extra impact for survivors
Thanks to a committed, anonymous donor, all the event’s expenses will be paid in full. This means that every dollar raised through event sponsorships, auctions, donations and more will go directly to the continuing operation of Aurora Healing and Advocacy Services.
Helping survivors thrive
Hope Shining Blue provides guests with the opportunity to support survivors as they take an incredible step on their healing journey: those who participate in a once-in-a-lifetime fashion runway experience sponsored by Boston Store. It will also recognize the 2018 Thrive Award honoree, Herica Silva. The annual Hope Shining Blue Thrive Award recognizes a sexual assault survivor who is healing and thriving in life, and whose professional or volunteer work in the community is informed by their healing journey.
Prepare to be moved by their stories and inspired by their courage!
