Not always safer at home
As so many of us stay home to keep our communities safe, we know that for victims of sexual and domestic violence it is not always safer at home. Aurora Healing & Advocacy Services is here for you 24 hours a day. For immediate help, call our confidential crisis hotline at (414) 219-5555 or text (414) 219-1551.
Ways to stand with survivors:
- Make a gift: Your gifts allow us to provide one-on-one counseling, support groups, the crisis hotline, personal advocacy and more at no cost to survivors. Double your impact on Denim Day, April 29. One of our generous supporters, Joe Pabst, will match donations up to $1,500!
- Wear jeans and share: April 29 is Denim Day, an international awareness campaign to honor survivors and end victim blaming. Post a photo of yourself on social media wearing jeans - use #DenimDayMKE and tell us why you stand with survivors.
- Join the AHAS Giving Circle: Members personally contribute $1,000 and pool their donations to directly support specific projects. Contact Cindy Hosale for more information at Cynthia.Hosale@Aurora.org.
- Purchase supplies: Survivors often come to us without any of their belongings. Thanks to generous donors, we can provide new clothing, personal care products, essential items for mothers and newborns as well as self-care and education materials. Visit our Amazon Wish List to donate.
